the nose is pretty earthy (a Montoliva hallmark) with a subtle fruit and spice on the nose. On the palate…WOW, this is a really BIG wine. A big juicy mouthful of plum and pepper spice. Waitaminute, did I make this wine?! If it was more jammy I’d swear this wine was made down in Lodi. Oh wait, the finish is slightly pungent, sort of a tobacco leaf spiciness. You’re not going to get that kind of nuance from a Lodi wine. The tannins are moderately high with a nice lingering dryness, this is one of the more tannic Teroldegos I’ve made in a while.

Wine Enthusiast: “most definitely interesting...would be stellar with barbeque.”
Dan Berger’s Vintage Experiences: “very highly recommended, an impressive entry”
*special note, we originally released this wine in August 2020. Even then, I knew this was a wine that was going to age really well, so in January 2021, when we had about 15 cases left, I put those 15 cases back into wine storage, and have just brought them back out.
