Sierra Bella 2021
Sierra Bella is Italian for "Beautiful Sierra". This Super-Tuscan blend of Sangiovese, Primitivo, Teroldego and Barbera is indeed a beautiful wine. The Sangiovese gives this wine a pleasing acidity and earthiness, the Teroldego and Barbera provide a fruit lushness, the Primitivo pulls everything together.

Seattle Times writer Paul Gregutt writes: "a lush mix of strawberries, raspberries, plums and blackberries into focus. The tannins are perfectly balanced and lend some gravitas to the wine."
Wine Writer Fredric Koeppel reviewed our Sierra Bella in 2023: "The color is a lovely, transparent ruby-magenta hue; aromas of red and black currants unfurl undertones of pomegranate and blueberry, black tea and orange zest and a light touch of leather and loam; bright acidity cuts a swath through earthy, foresty tannins, all supporting well-balanced elements of red fruit flavors and slightly dusty graphite; this gains flesh and ripeness in the glass, altogether a blithe fandango of a red wine — or should that be a tarantella? 13.8 percent alcohol. Now through 2024 or ’25. Excellent."
Damn, I wish I could write like that!
