Vineyardist and Winemaker Mark Henry was one of the first to plant the prized new clones of Sangiovese introduced to the US by Vivai Cooperativi Rauscedo. By combining these exciting grapes with the old world tradition of planting vines very closely together, Montoliva is blessed with an annual bounty of high quality fruit. The original Italian-American settlers of Chicago Park would be proud of this earthy rich red wine. Sourced entirely from our estate vineyard.
