The Barberas of the Sierra Foothills have gained quite a following over the last few years. It's popularity is based on the grape's ability to achieve a remarkable level of ripeness while maintaining a good acidity. This allows the wine to show really rich fruit flavors, without the flabbiness that sometimes accompanies overly ripe fruit-bomb type wines.
MV&W's first ever release of Barbera is truly a Cal-Ital sensation. All the fruit that you expect from a well ripened California Foothill winegrape, with MV&W's signature Old-World touch on the mid-palate. We only produced 75 cases of this tasty beverage.
